Blog 3: Favorite movie

In this blog I am going to talk about of my favorite movie, talking about this topic excites me a lot, because since I was little I love to watch movies, and take them with me wherever I went; probably a couple of years ago it would have been a very difficult question to answer, but after 2017 I have no doubt, my favorite movie is the Disney's remake of Beauty and the Beast.

This film may not be very important or transcendent at the cinematic level, but within all the remakes made by Disney to date I consider this as the best, because while it meets the pattern of all live action remakes of presenting an animated classic with real people, this film manages to preserve and transmit magic and charm, preserving the fantasy of its animated version, and takes it to take on a new air, preserving the original story, but adding more background to the development, filling narrative gaps from the original.

It also presents a better-grounded protagonist with ideals by which her difference and distinction from her rural environment is understood, the same happens with the beast, because they show us a past that better justifies their way of acting and is more consistent with their status within the historical development.

And finally, the two strengths that made me love it and consider it my favorite movie, music and the addition of modern themes and figures, without feeling forced, first the original music numbers are maintained, which are the backbone of any animation, that during the previous years had been a forgotten element, but fortunately returned in this film, in a more spectacular way. 

To finish the involvement of modern ideals to deliver a better message to the new generations through a classic story, as is the strengthening of the female figure, the inclusion of races and gender, they do it in such a natural way that it feels like a complete movie, since they do it by continuing to exploit the nature of the protagonists and not changing them to fulfill this purpose.
